Jerry M. Jenkins Jr., Lunenburg County tobacco and grain producer, has served on the board since 1974.

Jenkins is chairman of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Flue-Cured Tobacco Committee and a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation Tobacco Advisory Committee. He also serves as chairman of the VFBF Investment and Finance Committee and as chairman of the board of Tobio LLC, which is a farmer-owned tobacco production business.

Jenkins is past president of Lunenburg County Farm Bureau, and is a past chairman of VFBF's NER Committee.

Before he began farming in 1963, Jenkins worked as an Extension agent in Gloucester County and as a teacher in Brunswick and Nottoway counties.He also served as a supervisor of tobacco production in Venezuela for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co.

He currently serves on the Virginia Bright Flue-Cured Tobacco Board and as chairman of the Board of Tobacco Associates Inc.
