Farm Tractor Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) Incentive
In Virginia, tractor rollovers claim more farmers’ lives than any other type of tractor accident. VFB Safety offers a $200 incentive to Virginia Farm Bureau members who have a factory-built rollover protective structure (ROPS) and seatbelt installed by an authorized dealer on any tractor originally purchased without a ROPS.

Farm Safety Inspections
Farm safety inspections are available to members on a voluntary basis and provide an opportunity to have a trained safety specialist review hazards in your operation. Together you and VFB Safety will develop a plan of action for correcting areas that are unsafe. Certain accounts that have experienced high loss ratios or frequency of claims under Worker’s Compensation coverage are also selected for a mandatory farm safety inspection to help keep premiums as low as possible for all members insured with Virginia Farm Bureau.
Most recommendations are simple and result in inexpensive solutions to reduce the risk of injuries on the farm. Ideas are shared from farm to farm, and there are always new programs to be discussed. The experience is designed to be a positive experience for everyone involved.

Participants are issued a certificate at the completion of the course, which entitles them to a discount on their automobile insurance premiums. The course fee is only $10 per person and is open to both members and non-members. Please contact your county Farm Bureau office to request an application.
