Today's youth are Farm Bureau's future members and agricultural leaders. Youth organizations promote leadership skills which are vital to the agriculture industry.
Activities include. . .
Encourage enrollment in vocational agriculture programs, FFA, 4-H and other related youth organizations; and to speak to such groups on the importance of Farm Bureau and the Young Farmers’ Program.
Promote enrollment and application to scholarships in Virginia Tech’s Two-Year Agriculture Technology Program.
Work to promote Agriculture in the Classroom by offering farm visits, volunteering to speak to classes, and providing monetary contributions.
Encourage participation in the Outstanding Young Agriculturalist Award to all Junior and Senior high school students throughout the state. Junior and Senior status is determined during the year of nomination while attending high school.
Offer a $100 scholarship for one child to attend 4-H camp.
