About the Virginia Farm Bureau Family of Companies

What started as a commitment to Virginia farmers has grown into a whole family of companies. We've become industry leaders in agricultural education and support, and experts in auto, homeowners, health and life insurance . With the help of our affiliates, we're continually expanding into new insurance markets and niches. And, of course, we're still the largest writer of farm insurance in Virginia.

Our home office is in Richmond, Virginia. We also have over 100 local offices across Virginia, as well as parts of New York and Maryland. We employ over 800 people, many of whom have long tenure based on great job fulfillment and excellent benefits.

Giving Back to Our Community

We’re locals. That’s why we care about our communities. Monthly charitable donations go to organizations like Virginia Special Olympics and the READ center, and many of our employees serve as boots on the ground for homeless organizations, Habitat for Humanity, or their own neighbors in need.

Special Olympics

Virginia Farm Bureau partners with the University of Richmond Spiders to sponsor the SOVA summer basketball clinic, and we sponsor an athlete from each one of the 88 counties with Virginia Farm Bureau offices.

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots collects gifts for children who may not have anything for the holidays. Every year, Federation and Insurance employees donate games, stuffed animals, and other toys to the Toys for Tots program.

Comfort Cases

We help collect small duffel bags and backpacks for children entering the foster system. These bags are filled with comfort items liked stuffed animals as well as everyday essentials, a reminder that every child deserves love and care.
